Hi Tiia, thanks to the links to the Comme des Garcons show. I recently purchased a shrunken Yohji (also second hand) jacket and am feeling the inspiration.
I have that same Carven jacket! I got mine secondhand a few years ago, but I initially tried it on in the now-shuttered Carven store in Manhattan, probably either in fall 2013 or fall 2014. It was much too much money for me back then, but when I saw it a few years later for the equivalent of 90% off, I happily bought it. It's really interesting to see how you've styled it here-- I somehow never thought of adding a turtleneck or even high-necked blouse. I have, however, worn it with Pleats Please. While I wear it infrequently, it's been a really good thing for me to have in the back of the closet.
That's so cool! We're jacket twinsies! I found mine at the thrift store this summer for 38 euros. It was one of those things that I immediately knew I wanted to buy when I saw it. I love the romantic, restrained feel of it.
I just finished watching that Comme show and it was just the jolt of inspiration I needed. So many ideas and I want to go play in my closet now. Also, makes me glad I still have a couple cropped jackets I could never bear to part with. Thank you, Tiia!
Black textures for the win! I hope that the laundry post will be interesting to you. I'm having trouble editing it, and might end up doing it in parts, but we'll see how it goes!
I have that Olson coffee table book from its origin launch — I was, and ever will be, crazy for them. And what geniuses with that title!
The Olsens weren't on my style radar at all when the book came out, but it's such an intriguing read now! I was glad to find it.

Isn't the show just wonderful? I wish I could see your shrunken Yohji jacket!
I have this posted on my magnetic board:
‘My favorite colors are black, dark- black, pitch-black, pastel black, light black, faded black”

Oh I love that!
That's very clever!

Your beautiful outfits are making me rethink my ambivalence about black clothes. I enjoyed this post.
Thank you Jenny!
